Today was a wonderful Halloween day! I didn't make any specific plans this year, as my Indy love and Halloween extraordinaire, Travis, moved to the East coast leaving us all very confused and lonely this holiday. I didn't splurge on (AT LEAST) three DIY costumes like usual...just one for Chichi. Instead, I ended up having multiple wardrobe changes for my very busy day of running errands, playing with Fang, painting, and card shopping. Surprise surprise, I had MANY Halloween appropriate options in my closet...

Hi! I was wondering if you could help me in the right direction as an aspiring fashion designer. First off I really want to buy a new sewing machine that would be great for sewing denim, leather, and everyday pieces. What machine would you recommend/what do you have? I've been looking into heavy duty ones and have been thinking about getting a Singer. It's just really hard for me to narrow it down with all the overload of bad things I read about some of these machines.
ReplyDeleteI am also curious if it really matters in the fashion industry where you get your fashion design degree from (like Parsons which is my dream school compared to The Art Institute or anywhere else)? Do you have any school recommendations?
