For all of you reading, I am pleased to inform you that I
have decided to pick up where I left off from this blog and start posting
again. Now that I have graduated and I am the rightful owner to a brand new
Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, I have SO much more time to focus on
continuing Wants, Loves, Must-Haves. At the (very) beginning of the year I
packed up and temporarily moved to Los Angeles to complete an internship at One Grey Day.
I have nothing but good things to say about my post-college
adventure. It’s almost embarrassing to say that this was my first actual (kinda
sorta) job. Other than a couple random jobs in high school, I never had a job
through college. I honestly don’t know how I could have managed all of my projects,
classes, + countless (delusional) hours in the sewing lab PLUS a job. My
internship at One Grey Day was my first responsibility as a college grad. I
loved that I brought some of my fashion knowledge to the table and also that I
learned just as much. No amount of education can properly prepare you for the
real world like experience can. It sure helps, but my internship really helped
me grow as a fashion designer AND as a person. Oh, and it didn’t hurt that all
of the clothes were AMAZING.
